do regular 1911 grips fit this gun if not do you know anyone else that may have some that do? also anything good or bad i should know about the gun in general. thanks

  Haven't tried the grips but did install a shock buffer from colt. I'd like to know about the grips,too.

  in a word, NO...
  
  the only shortcoming of these wonderfully accuratte and well made series of combat pistols is the relative scarcity of accsesories. grip panels are hard to come buy, unless you have them custom made. the MAGAZINES and a supply of replacement BBL`s are available, but other parts are scarce.
