.22cb maybe. They are real quiet in a lang barreled bolt action, accurate and would work great for birds. Got a cat that does birds in a big way, I'll send him on if you want. You'll have a yard full of feathers in short order.

some may laugh but the money to power to kill ratio......you cant beat a daisy powerline 880 armed with crossman zinc plated 177 bb's. 30.00 walmart. cheap red dot scope is 20.00 more. to date, ive shot and killed over 100 squirrels inside an acre within the city limit with no complaints. the daisy max speed premium grade bb's tend to curve about 20 yds out then they stablize. the crossmans are a flatter shooting bb. gun shoots tight. try it out.

I picked up air rifle at the flea market ...its a Diana34 22cal I was amazed at the power, it will go straight thru an empty paint can at 15' at 25' thru one side....and at 50' will group like a good 22lr at 100' its the most powerfull air rifle I ever shot and believe in a pinch could take out an animal in the thirty pound range within 30 - 40 ' with a well placed shot....I put a 4X scope and its dead on at 50'.............................Billy
