Has anyone had a marlin 336 barreled to 356 winchester? Or the 35 remington converted to the 356? What magazine work is required? Thanks.

  the magazine of my 336 cs in 35 rem easily takes 6 356 cartridges with no problem. the problem I see is that yes the marlin action is better that the basic win 94, but is it good enough to handle the extra 10,000 psi created by the 356? I see using a 30-30 bolt and tweaking the elevator to take the longer cartridge.

  It was the magazine that I was concerned about. The 444 etc. have a snake belly on the left side. Would like to chamber for a 35 cal. 357 herrett may be a option. Input on anything welcome.
