Old LIberty

I have an old LIberty 45LC. I says it was made in E. Germany. I know it is not worth much but can anyone tell me who made it for Liberty and what other makes and models may be the same.[?]

    It would be best if you were to give us a physical description of your revolver along with specific proof marks and manufacturers markings found on it. Good quality photos would also be a plus.

    Without the above information, It's very difficult to identify your revolver.

    Could be Sauer, could be Weirauch, could be some other lower quality gun such as a Rohm. Without the aforementioned info it would be hard to tell! Please post back with any additional info you have and we'll try to help!

    OK I'll put my glasses on and just maybe I'll get it right. Correction to my first post. It was made in W. Germany. It is a single action 6 shot western style revolver, (Colt knockoff) brass trigger guard rosewood 2 piece grip 5 1/2 inch barrel. The only proof mark is next to the serial number C0245 0n the barrel and it looks kind of like a tree trunk with no leaves. I surely don't know proof marks. I think I could pick it out of a list if someone could tell me where to look.

    This is the "Antler" proof of the Ulm Germany, Proof House.

    The Liberty Organization was based in California in the late Sixties and early seventies, they handled alot of pot metal guns, I may have3 their catalog around here, if so I will see if it sheds any light on this piece for you

    The proof mark is definatley not an antler. In ruff terms it again is kind of like a tree with no leaves in a T shape with a line across it. Like some people do when they write a 7.
