FFL GUN OR NOT?

I had one question here about no serial number on old single shot .22 and 410. Now a follow up question. Probably put up as project guns on GB and if the guns are sold must they go through an FFL dealer. After all, with no SN not much to track. Thanks in advance.

Pols have too much time on their hands so they deem it necessary to pass stupid laws.

  A gun originally manufactured without a serial # is covered by the same federal, state, & local laws as one that has a serial #. A FFL or C&R would simply note that fact in the acquisition/disposition column.
  
  I don't understand what you mean by "project guns", though.

  If they were made before 1899, no FFL needed.

  Serial numbers were first required by the Gun Control Act of 1968. There are a lot of firearms made since 1899 with no serial numbers.

  Neal, bluing work, stock work is my definition of project gun. Or one for parts. Think I will sell locally anyway. FFL fees almost costly as guns would be.
