    I would start with digital photos and go from there. We can give you a pretty god idea what he has, but this is really a hands on thing that can involve a lot of variables! Also, look under "Cool Stuff" on GB's Banner page and you will see "get your item appraised". This service, for a fee, will help you locate someone in your area with the needed expertise to help you further!

    If there's a larger gun shop in your area,most have an appraiser in-house that will do it(in black and white) for insurance purposes but a small fee may apply.
