Dan Wesson made a number of revolvers for High Standard in the mid 70's, ( Sentinel Mark II & Mark III ) I thought they were all .357's. Perhaps they made some .22's also?

That's it! It was a High Standard Sentinal, never knew they were made by Dan Wesson though.
    Thanks.

the gun i believe you are refering to is the sentinel MK-IV or the hi standard camp gun. the camp gun was made in 76 to 81. the MK-IV was made from 74 to 81. of the two, the MK-IV looks most like a wesson. did your gun have adj sights or fixed?

Yep, it's all coming back to me now, it was also called a camp gun. I believe it had adjustable sights, but wouldn't swear to it.
It was a really neat gun, although had a horrible DA pull that I'd planned to get re-worked and never did.
    Thanks again.
