Marks / Stamps ID info wanted
I have a 6MM completely carved stock, Mauser action, ect. It is built almost exactly like a Hiem rifle I looked at the other day at cabels fine gun room in KC, Ks.
But the only stamp I can find other than 6MM Rem on barrel, is under or on bottom side of barrel is stamped a star then R Y followed by another star.
I know this rifle is at least 45 years old, but I am trying to find out who built it.
The second rifle is a 7 X 57 built on a commerical mauser action, an has a symbol followed by R T R followed by another symbol stamped on right side of barrel next to action. the stock has double line maple spacers on fore-end tip an grip-cap , it also has birds eye maple diamond inlayed in forearm one on each side, & one in center of grip-cap.
Thanks for your time in helping to research these rifles,
Dan
