those things are installed at the factory. its a 35.00 mistake if you bend it or break it. ive seen guys twist the b-jesus out of em and just replace the tube. good luck!

I'm replacing the bad one that came on it. Some idiot shot it without the piston shock absorber and it beat the tube until it swelled out and won't let the gun cycle.

The threads are sealed with Lock Tite. I soak
the receiver and tube in mineral spirits. Then
remove the tube with a magazine removal tool I
bought from Brownell`s. Works every time.

Hotshot, how long did you have to soak it? Is that tool the one that looks like a strap wrench?

Soaking it overnite will usually do the trick.

The wrench I have was mfg. by Menck. It is not
a strap type wrench. I purchased it from Brownell`s
two years ago. It consists of two metal bars that
clamp to the mag. tube from opposite sides. It
gives all the controlled pressure needed to break
loose even the most stubborn tube without damage.
