Did S&W make a revolver chambered in 30 cal? I can't find one in Fjestad.

I am looking for someone to put a cylinder stop in a s&w top break 32 the gun is in top shape otherwise any know of anyone that can do this. no gunsmith close to me will do it. 0 -
We'll need caliber designations. Also, swing the cylinder open and inside should be a series of numbers. Particularly on the later gun (blued) you will see sets of numbers seperated by a dash (10-5 for example) this is the model number. These and other details will help us help you! Please post back!

Both are 38s, The newer one has no number on the cylinder however onthe swing arm there is a numberit is 80248 with G2 under that number, on the frame the number is mod. 10-5.
On the older gun there is a number on the cylinder it is 454452, the number on the swing arm is 96845, the number on the frame under the arme is also 96845.

The older gun would date to about 1923-'24. The full name of this model is the Model of 1905, 4th Change - .38 Military & Police. It's most commonly referred to simply as the .38 M&P.
The other one would be from around 1971. If it has a light contoured barrel, it would be a Model 10-5. The heavy barreled version would be a 10-6. The model number is stamped in the frame and is visible with the cylinder in the 'open' position.

As for the ages ... the older piece is 1928-1930, would need S&W factory letter to pin date down any further. ***Update*** Wheelgun's date could be closer. The s/n given falls in a date range of 1915-1942 so my guess may have been too conservative.
The newer M10 is 1971-72
