Harold Hoffman barrel blank

Have a Harold Hoffman uncontured, unchambered barrel blank that I got back in the 1970's. Would like to know the last date of mfg. and approximate value. I'm thinking of putting it on a 98 Mauser action unless it has a very good value as is. It is stamped .308 Hoffman in a circular configuration around the bore on one end of the barrel.
