anyone have any information why the bbl is stamped Underwood , but under the rear sight is stamped Saginnaw Sg. Two different manufactureres.

  Because Underwood made such good barrels?[:o)]
  
  Underwood did supply several contractors with barrels. My books are at my shop, but I believe that Saginaw probably installed them on their weapons.
  
  If not, the barrel was changed during an overhaul. You're still in good shape.
