I just bought my 2nd Handi rifle in 7mm-08, the first is a 223. I,m happy with the groups they shoot but I am tired of the ammo jamming. Does anybody know of a stronger ejecter spring or a way to fix this problem. I have heard about this problem and how its just the way they are, but I am not satisfied with this answer, ther has to be fix!!!! I have tried all kinds of different ammo. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a 22 hornet that you had to take a cleaning rod to remove the fired brass on reloads. Is this what you are talking about? 0 -
YES!! I don,t understand why you should have to take a cleaning rod with you just to shoot or hunt. The guns shoot very well and I like them. 0 -
Hello take some JB bore cleaner put on a cleaning patch and wrwap around a old bore brush the size of chamber DONOT push into bore then chuck in rechargeable drill and polish chamber again NOT IN BORE OR NECH OF CHAMBER. 0 -
I have one in 22 hornet does the same thing I've tried polishing up the chamber with no luck[:(].I think I'm going to send it back in to NEF for some work.

I read a previous post where someone was using a small base die on .223 to fix this. When you drive fifteen minutes and walk almost a mile to shoot, it is frustrating to only get to fire one or two shots. I don't know how nef is going to fix this problem. I traded my nef hornet for a ruger. 0 -
In .22 Hornet I've had the same problem but only with handloaded ammo. I know mine are slightly warm! As long as I use factory ammo I don't have a problem. The rest of the time I carry a wooden dowel rod or section of cleaning rod to drop down the bore. 0
