Daisy Dbl. Barrel

I was woundering if anyone new the value of a Daisy ca.1938 double barrel air rifle, Model 104. It is in excellent shape with engravings and the works, made in Plymouth Michigan. Thanks DD

    The pre war Daisy double barrel is one of the most sought after pieces for a bb colletor. If your condition description is accurate your talking over $1500 easily. There were very few made and they were well used. I've seen wrecks sell for $500 plus. It's a very desirable piece!!

    Thanks for the info, I didn't realize that high of value, I also picked up a nice Daisy 1955 Model 94 Carbine, is that gun common? Thanks for you help.. Neil

    Hello pogybate...

    I completely agree with Old Hickory on his value estimate. I own one of the later made (but still somewhat rare) Daisy Model 21 SxS BB guns, and it appraised out at $750 six years ago. The Model 104 is rarer, and was made with better stocks than the Model 21.

    Hey "pogybate", I checked 2nd Bluebook of Air Rifles and it said that they made 45,000 model 104s. They gave production dates as 1938-1940. Just the same, they value it at $1000 in 100% condition and the book I used is 3 years old. In the 60s they made a simpler version called the Model 21(which Bert mentioned) and even though they are not as well made they're in the $700 plus range in good shape( more for a special "Sears" version)!

    Hi pogybate, I'm away from a book but I think you might have the date wrong. Daisy made a "Spittin Image" 1894 bb gun but it came out around
    1962 and may have been made into the 80's. It's value is in the $80 range for mint. Just the same I'll check when I get home. Can't you see I'm at work!!! ha ha
