    I'm not the expert you're looking for, but I'll give it a shot. Kinda hard to tell, but the auto looks like a Model 1905, with the combination shoulder stock/holster on the opposite page. I assume this pistol was discontinued around 1911, when the introduction of the Gov't Model. Looks like it's in good shape. Hve you looked at "Colt Catalog" on ebaY? This old paper brings $$!

    It appears the catalog is a 1911 issue from Colt's London operation.

    very nice..... It is amazing what people are paying for stuff like this on ebay now. The 1903/1908 boxes have been going upwards of $200 for the BOX. The bad thing is most of the boxes look like they have been a gerbils home for the last 40 years (with some of them it's hard to tell they were once a pistol box). Seriously though, I'd keep it. You'll probably never find another one as long as you live....
