help please
My father in law found a .22 caliber pistol made by US REVOLVER CO.
We can only find a serial number on the gun. # 25780
We would like more information about the gun. Year? Value?
Anything would be appreciated.
Thanks

I'm guessing it to be for a Commander but it is just that! A guess! Also guessing the SA is for Springfield. Do you know, or guess, at its age? If it's pretty new the SA thing might make a little more sense. Can you post a picture?

I believe Springfield calls it a "Bulldog" or something like that. Compairable to a Colt "Officers Model"

come on now boys & girls, there is more at stake here than you realize! I have no idea when or where I gained posession of this clip but it does bother me that I have no gun to use it in. if someone would just speak up & say "oh yea, that's just like mine" I could send it to them & remove temptation from my door step. won't someone claim it before it talks me into buying another gun?

try this website, I think it is for the compact 1911. Similiar to the commander from colt.

The magazine will work for a Springfield Armory Ultra Compact. My guess is that it is for an Officers Modle. My Ultra Compact came with a seven round mag but had feeding problems. After being looked over by my dealer/gunsmith the factory mag was replaced with a six round mag having the same markings you describe. No more feed problems. 0 -
Mr. Smith you have mail!

As for the markings... SA stands for "Springfield Armory." The 45 is self explanatory, and the NM stands for "National Match."
The magazine prolly went to an Officer's Model Match back in the day when "National Match" meant something...
