what value on CE K98???
have a friend's 1943 K98. CE....JPSuhl & Sohn. It does not appear to be Russian capture, probably a vet bring back. Looks all matching with serial# 1382 & small 'm'. Ex. bore. Looks like war usage before '45. Wear on finish but not abused. Nice Stock bottom has a 'H' with proof eagle. Bolt matches. usual proof marks. No rust or pitts. Sling looks original with metal slide keeper. No cleaning rod. Rubber muzzel cap. Cup butt plate. Anyone guess at a selling price??? Thanks all. JOHN <j.s.bryant@comcast.net>

Between $400 and $800 for a matching, nothing special 43 dated, unbubba'ed, non import.
Many things would have to be examined for it to make it to the high range, but it sounds like it might be a good one.
Men have passed on...knowledge...yet in politcs, statecraft, and social relationships we continue to repeat old mistakes.
