S&W 19-2 date of manufacture?

Can somebody come up with a date of manufacture for a S & W model 19-2, serial #K683XXX?

  Welcome to the forum.
  
  From the s/n info provided your revolver was mfg. in 1966. To try and pin things down to a specific date you will need to contact S/W.

  Thank you for your reply. This revolver looks brand new. I was shocked to hear that it was from 1966. It's a smooth accurate shooter too.
