Springfield XD 9MM Questions
I was looking into Springfield XD 9mm service size "4 inch" pistol. I've noticed that Springfield offers converted pre-ban 17 round Eagle manufacturing magazines in a special offer ticket that comes with the 9mm XD pistol. Do these magazines work reliably in the XD 9 mm? How good is their life time warranty? Any other information would be gladly appreciated.

I have a Springfield Champion and the plunger tube needs fixing. I am having a friend take care of it for me, but I did call Springfield about it. The lifetime warranty will cost you shipping your gun to their factory but nothing else, and is good unless you have someone else work on it. But, if you do have someone do work on it, only the parts they worked on are voided from your warranty. For example, after my friend fixes my plunger tube, if the barrel link pin breaks, it's still covered. I think they'll even cover the barrel when I eventually wear it out. [:)]
I can't speak from any first-hand experience with the XD - I almost bought one in .40 S&W but found my Champion first. I don't suspect that Springfield would send you a magazine that isn't reliable in the gun, though. Good luck.0
