RRA DPMS Upper/ Lower AR15

Hello.
I decided to go for Rock River Arms Lower and DPMS 24" bull barrel upper which came with chrome lined bolt assy. Since I am low on $$ I picked the upper used with 500 shots on it. I know that RRA Lowers are good quality and DPMS had good opinions (Unless I and wrong/than correct me Plz) I was wondering if any one can tell me about this combination. Reason I am asking is that my local gun shop tells me that I have to get something called acu wedge in order to achieve tight fit of that receivers. If any one used DPMS upper and RRA lower plz share your view. And how are the PDMS varmint uppers considering that my has already 500 rounds through (accuracy wise)

    an accuwedge is a little chair-shaped piece of rubber that fits between the upper and lower to tighten the two together. you shouldnt need one unless the rifle has some play in between the two halves. i have them in mine but its just personal preference.

    I have both RRA and DPMS both are great. The accu wedge maynot fit! if it doesn't no big deal go shoot. If it fits, just makes it a little nicer to shoot, gun wouldn't raddle between the upper and lower units.

    500 rounds should be just broken in. I don't care for the Accu-Wedge, just my opinion, but the dealer was wrong, you don't NEED one. The gun should fit and work just fine without it. Sometimes their is a little play between the two recievers that some shooters don't like.

    While shooting M16's on the rifle range did not notice that the fit between upper and lower made much difference in accuracy. I suppose that if you were shooting in matches it might but the shooter would have to be exceptionally good to notice the difference. Shoot it and see.
