I'm in the market. I've shot a buds - sweet. Looking in the GB auctions some ads mention a "new frame". Does anyone know what the frame changes were?

Does anybody here own one? Would any of the experts here consider owning one? I have a gun collecting itch and I think that this one would be a good piece to add to my collection. I understand that right now the ammo one can buy is not armor piercing and one can only get a 10 round mag for it unless they are LE. Im basically curious as to how they perform and if they are worth the 800 to 900 bucks

my c3 dlr has 2 one in semi other full auto.
have shot both! aint nothing great!
very unbalanced, grips are at a weird angle.
accurate upto around 15m 4-5" groups with the semi.
the full auto, hold on, at 15m 3 rounds hit a 10" pie plate out of 10 rds.
all rounds including api are out there.
practice ammo is around $1.25ea all other ammo is in the $3.00 to $5.00 per round.
seen them for sale in $650-$800 range.
IMHO save your $, cause the leo's are not buying them.
maybe the next gyrojet.

The "Five-seveN" Self-loading Pistol is a new generation and conception weapon. Technically it is classified as an ordinary submachine gun but tactically it is a Personal Defense Weapon. To remind: the PD Weapons are mainly used by drivers, staff personnel, artillery crew, and other second line soldiers that do not take part in active combat actions and have no need in automatic or assault rifles as they use weapons mainly for the self defense. Earlier second line soldiers were armed with the submachine guns that featured range of effective fire in 50 - 200 meters. However the PDW conception differs from ordinary submachine gun conception. The main difference is that submachine guns are chambered for ordinary pistol cartridges. The PDW main idea itself was to develop a submachine gun size weapon with automatic rifle fire characteristics as submachine guns are not effective defending from assault or automatic rifle armed enemies in a long ranges. Furthermore compact weapons are necessary for second-line and supply soldiers as they are not used often.

The 5.7x28mm SS190 ammunition has been designed to bridge the gap between the 9mm ammunition and the 5.56 x 45mm. The 9mm FMJ round will not penetrate modern body armor and the 5.56mm (.223 Rem.) rifle ammunition creates over-penetration concerns in a close combat situation or urban warfare. The SS190 has unique design, utilizing two metal inserts. The tip of the ogive has a steel penetrator followed by an aluminum core that is heavier than the forward tip. This causes the bullet to tumble in soft body tissue after 2 inches of penetration. This design virtually eliminates the risk of over penetration. This also creates a large wound cavity and quick incapacitation. The SS190 will perforate 48 layers of Kevlar up to 200 meters when fired from the P90 and achieve the same result up to 50 meters with the Five-seveN handgun. The 5.7 ammunition has only 60% of the recoil impulse of a 9mm. The muzzle velocity of the SS190 is 2,346fps when fired from the P90 and 2,133fps with the Five-seveN. Tracer, Sub Sonic, Training and Blank ammunition available. Ammunition is supplied in the U.S. by Olin.

Because it is designed to penetrate body armor and up to 2" of body tissue then horribly destabilize. I'm surprised that you aren't up to speed on the goals of 5.7x28 project that FN has been developing for the past several years. If you're gonna have your finger on the pulse of current events, pull it out of your brown eye first[:o)]

Anyway, I'm glad that i got replys that are worth listening to as that Bison piece of snot is starting to get on my nerves.
Put it this way...he is probably 20 or 21 without a stray onager to bleen and needs this forum to get his kicks. He is too much a onager to meet any one of us on the streets for a gun battle in which he would put his tail between his legs and run like a the girl he is.
Thanks for the replys to my post. I here by challenge Bison to a gun battle with a five seven versus any .357sig and we'll see who wins.
My name also speaks for itself...HK's are the way to go...anything that the military uses is the best type of firearm avail. FN also provides mulitple armed forces with weapons from pistols, assault rifles and sniper rifles. I will go with what the experts say and not that ice cream longing Bison.
Honestly...the webmaster of this forum needs to find the Bisons IP address and infinite ping him...that would get him to shut up for a while. Any computer expert would have this guy bleened by now. I hope the gunbroker dudes step it up soon and prevent this trash for the future of the forum

A friend of mine just bought one. It was awesome to shoot. Just like a .22, not much recoil whatsoever. However, at $20 a box for ammo and that's a box of twenty, I don't think he'll be taking it to the range as a plinker. They are pretty cool though![:D]

Really that low of recoil? I had wondered, seeing as it's a bottleneck cartridge with some real length to it, if it'd kick like a mule. I know it stings like a bee, at any rate, and if I had the money I'd own one. Now, to get all those unconstitutional gun bans repealed so I can get a P90 to match it...ugliest excuse of a gun I've ever seen, and I doubt it's very comfortable, but not every gun you own has to look good or feel good to be fun to own. I was amazed at the low recoil myself. I shot the Walther P22 right afterward and we both said how similar the two felt. It was a good day at the range. [8D]
