Remington Classic 280 value

I'm trying to determine an appropriate selling price for my 700 Classic in .280 Rem., like new. I've seen the rifle in many other calibers up for auction, but not this one, so I want to make sure I'm not missing anyting. Thanks in advance for all responses.

    I would say the 280 would be in the average to low range of the classics. $450 to $500 if like new.

    funny one of my books shows it as being made in 1996 and the other in 1997 , anyway book puts it at $500 ,, by the way the 280 is a fine round , you may want to keep it

    The reason you see it in various other calibers is that Remington makes their 700 Classic in only one caliber a year. The .280 was made in 1997.

    The other posters were about right on target as far as price goes ~$450 to $500 depending on how well kept the gun actually is. A new ones sell for $550 in most gun shops.
