IJA&CW - Champion 12 ga. Single Shot Shotgun
Any idea what the "HTXR" all over the weapon stands for?
Any idea of a ballpark age of the weapon?
Where can I find an "exploded parts" diagram for this weapon so I can take it apart and clean it properly. I'd hate like heck to have parts left over.
Thank you in advance for any assitance you can give.

Hello John...
Hopefully b.goforth (bill) will see this post before it gets buried too far down the list. Bill is the most reliable source of information that I know of when it comes to Iver Johnson or Harrington & Richardson made firearms. If he does not respond to this post within a few hours, contact him through his profile (you can do a search by his user name). Welcome to the forum[:)]

john,
the letters "htxr" stamped on your champion single barrel are the actual serial number applied at the factory.
iver johnson shotgun serial number; numbers only 1880-about 1929, letters only about 1931-1941, numbers with letter suffix 1946-1956+.
i have an 'exploded view' of this model from a 1932 catalog, but these guns are not easy to take completely apart as things are held in the frame by cross pins.
