Zeiss VM/V 6-24x56 or Leupold Mark 4 8.5-25x50mm

I hope someone in here has experience w/the 2 listed scopes. I am torn between the two and need to know the prefered choice. Both will have mil dot reticles. I have excellent pricing on both. I purchased a Burris Black diamond 8x32x50 and it was pure JUNK..it had dust inside of the scope on the lens so I sent it back and the replacement had the very same thing, (it was another new scope too, not the same one) I then kicked Burris to the curb forever. Please help!

    I have the MK IV 8.5-25x50. it is a great peice of glass,..especially since the upgrade to the M1 type adjustment system.

    I have only experience with the 3-12x56 Zeiss products. They tracked well,..but I didn't feel they were worth the money.

    If you want a 30mm tube, high magnification scope,..take a look at IOR Valdada as well as the leupold MK IV category.

    why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

    I have actually decided on the IOR Valdada 6x24x50 mm Tactical. I have read nothing but good things about this scope.

    I have the 6-24x50mm IOR Valdada tactical with the MP8 reticle. Thus far,..it has been a great product.[8D]

    why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

    as far as weight,..there is no question it is heavier than the zeiss diavari series. The clarity is on par(certainly no less) with zeiss,..as the lenses in the Valdada are made at the Schott glaswerks and coated with zeiss T3 coatings (just like their diavari line) The lenses are super!! As for construction,..you will know as soon as you pick one up. They are not made with rounded corners and ergonomic pleasantries in mind. They are made with heavy duty components and to withstand a lot of abuse. I would trust an IOR to take more of a beating. The MP8 reticle is FINE!! it has to be focused correctly or it can "wash out". I am still getting used to the subtension of this reticle .1moa at 100yds=1moa at 1000yds. That means the reticle only covers a little over 1" of target at 1000yds. It is however a laser etched reticle and not a wire reticle,..something I find to be a huge benefit.

    I would sell 2 zeiss to own 1 IOR Valdada Tactical. MHO
