41 mag Ammo Question
Looking for good 50 to 100 yard deer round. I've picked up some Winchester Silver and Platium tips. The Silver seemed more like a .357 mag load and I haven't had a chance to try the Platnium ones. I have some 210gr Fed JSP. Any recommendations? or am I on the right track?

I don't shoot the 41mag very much but the 210 gr should be a fine deer round , Winchester Silver tips are all most always a good round , i would think any of these should be ok , I would look for the one that groups the best in your gun 0 -
I agree. The 175gr Winchester silver tip hollow point or the 210 grain lead flat point are both excellent rounds for the 41mag. [8D]

Speer has a new round out with the Gold Dot bullet that should be excellent or look for Hornady ammo with the XTP bullet...both work well........[8D] 0 -
I've not had the opportunity to obtain and try the Platinum, but everything I've read sounds good. Your on the right track and I tend to lean toward the heavier bullets like the 210 JSP, but those Silvertips a pretty darn good too. Basically it comes down to where I am hunting, if there is a chance of running afoul of a hog or bear I usually load the heavier rounds. Either will put down a White Tail.

Try the Federal Cast Core 250 grain lead bullet loads. I have not used that ammo, but I have used handloads with the very same bullet. Complete penetration on a Musk Ox at 80 yards. The bullet is made by Cast Performance and is of the LBT style.
