preban prices are history, the AWB ban is expiring this fall. Basically, the gun is an overpriced plinker. On full auto, with a silencer, it was designed to be fired from inside an attache case, at powderburn ranges. It's an assasin's weapon, basically. Semi auto, it's a heavy, clumsy, slow into action clunker.

First "DUHHHH" for the day Elkhorn/Bison/Knobgobbler. The attache setup was used specifically with the MP5K/SP89 weapon not the M11. The M-11 is a simple blowback pistol which is a scaled down version of the M-10. Since it is designed to fire the 9mm and .380ACP ammo only, it did not need to be as large as the M-10 which was chambered for 9mm also, but more often the larger 45ACP round which required a larger frame to accomodate a double-stack 45 mag and heavier slide to absorb the recoil. The M-11 was then scaled down again to make the M-12 which is a .380ACP only handgun of similar operation and smaller, more concealable dimensions. The MAC series of handguns were not commendable for their accuracy, as the SAS found out before finally selecting the HK MP-5 for "kill house" situations. The MAC series are, however, simple, reliable and have cyclic rates (on the full-auto versions) of anywhere from 800-1200+ rpm depending on the caliber, model, and configuration. They are used in roles where a high capacity, close range, relatively concealable lead hose may be needed[:D]
PS: the semi-auto ones are fun, but some of them have parts from several contractors, so check the fit of the fire control parts and the chamber dimensions. Get some steel mags and have fun.

bs, the attache case thing was in use in the '60's, long before anyone ever THOUGHT of the MP5.

OK Einstein, when did they make the MP5??? The SSK was using them long before you were born, so spout off a mfg date....I'll wait for you to finish your Google search, I know it takes awhile........

PS: That's three "DUHH"s so far, I think you'll set a record tonight, you must have gotten some good spray paint today[xx(]

C'mon, not even Google takes that long.......anytime there Einstein.......still waiting.....

PS: Bingeebob, $465 is way high. Unless you have a suppressor you want to use with it, or unless its a pre-Cobray gun, I'd get a post-ban, no major differences besides the threaded barrel.

Exactly, I've seen that set up but never for the M11 as monkeyboy was claiming. I figured he didn't know the difference between an HK, and M11, and a Hipoint Carbine for that matter[;)] Seems like one of them folks that couldn't find his a$$ with two hands and a flashlight[:o)]
