Oly Arms AR Receivers-Cast or forged?

Is there a visable way to tell if the AR type receivers made by Olympic Arms are cast or forged? And if so, what are the Pro/Con of either one?

  forged is supposedly less likely to crack. If there's not much diff in price, I'd go with forged. The AR lower is very lightly stressed, tho. Look at the .50 BMG upper's for the AR. :-)

  oly makes both. I think the plinker comes with a cast receiver and the Pcr rifles come with a forged. Stripped lowers are only about $10 more for forged so why take a chance with a cast one?

  I know the plinker is a cast receiver and that Oly Arms sells stripped lowers that are cast, but on an older rifle is there any visable way to be sure that someone didn't use a cast receiver on a project gun? I am asking because the guy selling it doesn't know either way and I don't want a cast receiver.
