Mossberg sold the Targo trap unit as a seperate accessory. The Model 1A, Mossberg 3-way spring trap unit, is the same bird thrower that you mount on the rifle. Also included is a pistol shaped frame that the thrower can also be mounted to. The pistol frame has a clamp that will allow you to attach it to a bench. The advertisement on the box says "Use it three ways; on the gun, as hand trap, as stationary trap." 0 -

It's me again. I started with a Remington Routledge bore, model 121 pump, and was hooked on smoothbores. When I bought my first Targo, I did a little research. The Mossberg Targo 42TR was sold seperately or as a cased kit. According to the Blue Book, there are a dozen or less complete cased sets that are known to exist. Aparently, most folks did not want the set of accessories, just the gun. Dealers bought the set to display. The set came with rubber practice birds, some clays, a net, a clay carrier for your belt, the thrower and adapters (smoothbore and rifled). I assume the net was for the clays that you missed, preventing them from hitting the ground and breaking. I have come across the net and rubber birds one time on E-Bay but did not win the auction. I am always looking for Targo accessories. If you run across some, please let me know. Have a great day! 0 -
