I have a S&W M10, and I'd like to know what it's exact model designation is (10-6 or 10-5?), and what year it was produced. It's serial number is D737xxx and has the heavy barrel. Thank you.

  Hi, and welcome to the forum.
  
  Pop open the cylinder and look at the frame cutout area for the cylinder crane ... you should see your model "dash" number there.
  
  Per Std. Catalog of S&W the s/n you gave falls in a date range of 1974-75 and given that date range the "dash" number you should find is 10-6
