I lost my list of links with a computer crash, and need to know if any one has a list of 1898 antique cut off numbers? My remington is number 1012 hammerless twist barrels. P S any good gun links would be helpful

  Ask the gentlemen on www.gunshop.com "The Double Gun BBS". They have some good databases on that site that might have Remington dates. They also have several advanced collectors of Remington SxS doubles.

  It appears that you have a model 1894 but something is wrong with the serial number. The serial range for the 1894 is 100,000 to 141,194. The other possibility is the economy version of the same gun, the model 1900 but those serial numbers start at 300,000 and go to 398,505.

  Sorry about the number mixup, the whole number is 101012.

  your shotgun was made in 1895.
