AR-15 buffer tube removal

    yeah, its threaded and comes right off. I would take the spring and buffer out first, and watch the little retainer and spring, so they dont go in your eye socket or fishtank when the tube comes off.

    I've been trying to get mine off as well. I saw the tool DPMS has available, that will get the buffer tube off, but haven't gotten it. I did however put a 5/8's wrench to the end of it and it was tight on it, tried my damnedest to get the tube unthreaded, but it will not budge.
