I have several AK removable scopes that attach to the factory installed scope rails on my AK. The scopes and mounts I have are both Russian made and I purchased them from CDNN Investments for $120. each. They return to -0- pretty well. I am happy with them.

I have the USA built one and it always returns to 0 however it has to be really tight to do so, so it is a bit hard to put on and off the gun althought it is possible to do easily enough.

Sorry I don't remember the brand.

there are basically two types of side mounts available, 1st is the latch over mount, made in Belrus Russia, 2nd is the slide on mount, made by Leaper for Clearview Investments, which tightens down with 3 allen bolts. the russian is a weaver base and can be used to mount any size ring ,or use with red-dots. the clearview comes two ways, weaverbase or with 1 inch integrated rings. both russian and clearview both equally well and will go back on and achieve [0] as long as you mount them on the side rail, in the same location, everytime. mark the side rail!!!! both are seethru so you can use hard sights if you wish. the clearview is harder to remove and remount simply because of the allen bolts. both are very rigid mounts. in my national local, there is only about $10.00 diff. in price!!!! i have used both, and i prefer the russian, because there is some adjustment available to the side rail!!!!
