who makes comanche 22 revolvers

was at the local gun shop the other day with my 12yr old son.he fell in love with one of these.anyone tried them,price was good enough, they looked like a taurus to me.he is wanting a 22 revolver with a swing out cylinder.I have several auto 22's and a couple single six but he he hates to load mags and he wants one of his own.he is 12 so I'm not going to invest more a couple hundred until he learns to take better care of them

    Llama made the Comanche. To the best of my knowledge, they havn't been imported for years. Either you saw a used one, or they started importing them again.

    I believe they are made in the Phillipines. Low cost revolver,make sure your son can handle the trigger,pull could be heavy. For a knock-around gun they're not bad,don't expect great things from it and you'll be happy.

    ATF is right, the Lama Comanchie ain't top shelf but its a good reliable handgun as far as i'm concerned, thats just my 2 bits of course-

    My reference notes that Llama made and sold in the U.S., a .22 Caliber "COMANCHE" Revolver during the 1970's.

    Note, in the gentleman's original post he never stated that the revolver he saw, was new.

    the ones I'm talking about are new,Davidsons has them in stock now in several calibers,I decided on getting him a Taurus model 94,22lr 9 shot stainless,he shot one today and it fit his hand,plus they have a much better trigger pull if you are shooting it single action, thanks

    I hate to be a bother, but what kind of trigger pull (single action) could I expect from Comanche 22s?
