I do not want to jump in on your topic, but I would appreciate some info on the Dan Wesson Razorback. I have an itch for a 10mm. 0 -
There's a picture here.

This is not a 1911, but it's a 10mm and it's pretty.

Wundudnee,I don't need a picture (Thanks anyways) I know what they look like. What does the Razorback have that the Pointman Major doesn't.The Pointman with the wooden grips is in my opinion a better looking gun for three hundred less?

Unofficially, I heard that the Pointman is similar to the Delta Elite (quality-wise) whereas the Razorback is supposed to be more towards the hand-fitted quality of Kimber.
I originally looked into DW when I bought my Kimber and they had a lot of initial problems with them that eventually lead me to choose the Kimber. Even though I'm a 10mm fan, I never looked into the DW's much more than that, I'll get several other brand of 1911 10mm's before I choose thiers. Sorry for the lack of info...
Ya might try the 10 ring forum over on Glocktalk, I know there are some DW users on there...
The 10mm - either you've got it, or you don't get it...0 -
The guns read as similiar on the web page, but I'm not sure that the Pointman comes in 10mm. I have the "Aussie" 45 ACP and have had very good results. Check and see if the Pointman comes in 10mm, and if so, it's most likely a better buy.
You can call Dan Wesson with the number on the web page (see web address above)

I brought this up again on GT hoping to find the person that brought it up originally. I'll bet there'll be more (and better) responses so you might want to give it a day or so...

the main difference is one has a cast frame and the other has a forged frame, most of the internals on both are wilson, also the major should have an internal extractor, the razorback should have an external extractor 0
