WHAT IS THIS THING? NEED SOME HELP

I just acquired a strange shotgun. It has Danish proof marks, lightweight single shot shotgun. Also has a nice raised cheek piece and fine checkering and pistol grip stock. The barrel is smooth bore, 27 1/2" long, part octagon and part round. The bore dia at the muzzle is .315. The rim dia at the breech is .470. Under the barrel it is stamped 8.2MM. No other marks anywhere. It is a center fire. At first I thought it was a 9MM shotgun but, with 8.2MM marks and a .470 rim dia? I also thought all the 9MM shot shells were rim fire. I am probably over looking something simple but am puzzled. What do I have? Thanks for your help.[:)][:)][:)]

    My WAG is that it was originally rifled. Your description of the stock, SEEMS to bare this out.

    Some European countries have/had restrictions on "RIFLED" long guns, whereas if their smooth bores their legal to own, without any problems.

    I don't know if Denmark was one of those countries?

    Just had a thought, the barrel MIGHT be rifled with "Metford" type rifling,i.e. the lands and groves are very shallow, they are machined/cut as segments of a circle, instead of conventional rifling. Without serious study the barrel appears to be smooth bored.
