Sandman, go to www.browning.com and you can search model and DOM there. Sounds like a superposed skeet, but thats just a guess without seeing it, and i'm too busy at the moment to check your ser.#

your gun is a lightning skeet 20ga made 1n 1966. it is a superposed. citori's were made in japan. forget finding a set of bbls for it. those guns were hand made. it would be cheaper and faster to sell your skeet gun to get the chokes you need in another gun.

great shotgun! Mine is a 28" with m/f barrels that I had Briley in Houston open them up for me. You might send your barrels to Briley and have them install screw in chokes for it. Check them out at www.briley.com. (or you can sell it to me)

oh G-d no! dont ruin a perfect belgian browning skket! just sell it as is and buy what you need. those guns are well worth over 1500.00 just to start with. if you bore it and alter it, youll cut the value in half.

Whewww! That was close! I read that, then saw Bob's reply. Almost gave me heart failure! PLEASE do not put choke tubes in that gun.
Sandman, that gun was built for a special purpose, shooting Skeet. Not deer slugs, pheasant, ducks, or Trap. Just Skeet! That means Browning didn't make truck loads of them. That means since they are no longer made, that gun will increase in value. Do not alter it. If you need another gun for pursuits other than skeet, buy one that does that.

Thanks guys. I would only consider re-finishing it if were just a common shooter. I would like to find another set of barrels (mod/ic) for dove hunting. As bad as my eyesight is getting lately, skeet/skeet may be the better barrel choice anyway.

refinishing it will destroy it too. if your eyes are as bad as you say, why refinish it? you aint gonna see it anyway![:)] and you missed my earlier post. you arent gonna find another set of bbls for that gun w/o going to browning for a custom set made for it...which will cost more than a new gun. serious..just sell it and use the money to get a nice gun for what you need. you simply have the wrong gun for what you want to use it for and are about to dump a lot of money into it for nought.

Dove hunting is my passion. Opening morning is the only time i use a Mod. choke or tighter. After that they come low and fast over the tops of the grape vines and skt/skt works fine. Especially since I don't see as good as I used to! www.midwestgunworks.com sometimes comes up with a set of bbl's in the white. But like Bobski said, they won't be cheap to buy or to fit.
