Single Shot .22
I bought a few guns from a person just for kicks. In the lot was a .22 Stevens Model 10 single shot. I was looking for a serial number and could not find one anywhere. After taking the barrel from the stock it occurred to me. Does it need a SN. It has a slide back bolt, stick a .22 in chamber, close, cock and fire. So, IMHO, no reciever, no SN..anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks, Franko

Prior to the enactment of the GCA 1968, gun law there was no legal requirement for certain types of firearms to be serial numbered.
Many manufacturers didn't put serial numbers on inexpensive rimfire rifles and shotguns.
