I have a collection of WWII ammo from GB, Russia, and Greece/Hebrew Is this collection worth anything it belonged to my greatuncle.

I recently purchased a colt bisley 1st gen, I want to know if a box of antique ammo marked 38 winchester center fire ammunition...made for winchester 1873 rifle is appropiate ammo for my 38/40 bisley...I want my rig accurate you see...thanks 0 -
The best way to find out is to look on this web site and see what like ammo is selling for if you don't know what it is most MIL ammo will have a head stamp with cal. and date. you can take to a gun show but dealers will try to buy as cheap as possible. 0 -
It would depend on what type ammo it is and its condition. Generally ball ammo is not worth much as supplies of it are still on the market. Tracer, AP, incendiary would be more desirable to a collector of this age ammo. If you can provide a more complete description and the quanities you have I might beable to provide additional guidance. 0 -
Welcome to the zoo, smt1ldy! I can probably give you an idea of the value if you post descriptions - preferably with photos. The loadings of British stuff is often identified by the headstamp, so will need that on the .303 (or whatever). I'd warn you in advance that it probably isn't worth a lot unless he had some of the more obscure loadings. Ball, AP, tracer, etc. is still readily available - if not for shooting, certainly for collectors.
