Hawksnest, I don't have my books here but I have owned 2 Buck Jones Specials and they are definitely sought after models. They were made from 1934 - 1936 and rather than being a Daisy 25 they are on the 107 style. Since it was still depression their sales were low. Then came WW2 and with scrap metal drives their aren't many that survived. I sold one for $175 that had about 40% of its bluing and still was in working condition. I kept the other which had 90% blue. I had paid $40 for it in 1978, but that was alot to pay for an old BBgun! If you're interested, Buck Jones was a sort of matinee type cowboy star who had very high morals (for real) He died in a fire at a restaurant in Boston in maybe 1942. He went in to rescue people and didn't make it out. I think over 100 people died. So you can see he was a decent guy!
I'm prouder of my "Buck Jones" than of my real firearms.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION. ONE GUY WHO DEALS IN ALOT OF GUNS TOLD ME NOT TO TAKE LESS THAN 350.00 FOR THE ONE I HAD, BUT I THOUGHT THAT WAS A LITTLE HIGH.

Theresa. That might be a LITTLE bit high unless you have the original box in which case I think it would be a little low! Sounds really cool! Those are indeed from what I am reading here VERY collectable and I agree with Old Hickory...Buck Jones WAS a hell of a guy! Did he die in the Coconut Grove fire? Seems like about the same time and I thought the Coconut Grove was in boston? I would be interested to know!
