I have a rifled 12 ga. barrel, Can I shoot any slugs through it. And another question, does the barrel length restrictions count with rifled barrels.

less pellet disbursment pattern to distance ration, as opposed to shorter barrels.

the extra length also adds weight, tending to reduce recoil (slightly) and smooth your swing...

length of bbl does not effect pattern whatsoever. the choke does. but length does effect balance. the closer you can get the balance to be directly over the shell in the chamber, the better off you are.

Good call Bobski! More people work under the misconception that a "34 inch barrel is inherently more accurate than a "28 than you can shake a stick at! Makes me nuts! Past a certain length, as mentioned, it makes NO DIFFERENCE the length...it's all about choke!! Longer barrels do indeed smooth out your swing, reduce recoil and aid in sighting plane but as to an inherently tighter pattern; nope! So Bobski...you and that other crazy Pole Karel going to do some sking this winter? He's getting a little long in the tooth and talks like he has a mouth full of marbles but I bet he can execute a pretty mean spread eagle in that white dress he wears!
