Bobski ,Perryshooter or anyone else,here's a Flite-King I just picked up.I'd like and idea of the value? It's like new the photo has a lot of reflections in it.I shoots shorts and the serial number is 440XXX.Any ideas.

Man I can tell it is NICE. With the 6.75 barrel it would have been made between 1954 and 1960 model #9104 model 101 series with serial I could give year. What is it WORTH? what ever some one is willing to give for it! this might sound trite but there are so few 50 year old guns in this shape that it is hard to set a price I go to 2 or three large gun shows out of state each year and 4or 5 in my state have had some pistols at large shows with no intrest and then sold it at small show first 10 min. you just have to find right buyer. 0 -

Hello the 101 series started in 1954 and started with serial 443000. ended 1958 serial 770,000 with whole serial make last3 numbers XXX i can give you year 0 -

Like all MANU. serials were not how they went out the door but how they started life . If you said APRIL 1954 you would not be off by much. 0 -
ok, the mag has been changed out. collectible wise, bad. function wise, good. early mags were left in the white but as time went on, they found that powder residue and moisture would get in the cracks and crevices causing rust. when the metal expanded from this rust, it threw off the mags dimensions making for feeding problems. they eliminated this practice in 1961'ish and began blueing the mags with the 103 series.) next, check your feed button. is it big or little? you should have a small(little) button. its the thing that you thumb down to feed the bullets with. newer ones for the 102+ series are big. 101 and earlier should be small. that button catches the slide on the last round. if you have a big button on an early gun, it can cause problems with last round slide catching. next...is your bullet guide steel or green plastic?

bobski,the feed button is small.When you say bullet guide do you mean the mag follower or the little feed ramp in front of it? They are both metal. The only plastic I can find is the grips.
