Nickel Plated Buckmark

I am considering purchasing a .22 caliber Browning Buck Mark. I notice some are nickel plated. Do theselast as long as Blued recievers? Does the nickel plating tarnish or wear off? Any thoughts here would be great.

  I owned one for several years and the nickel finish never wore off. The nickel is very corrosion resistant and easy to clean. I have seen a few older firearms (50+ yrs) where the nickel was flaking off in spots, but modern plating processes have undoubtedly improved.
