Fianl Opinion on sks 20rnd fixed mag???

I know that this subject has been discussed before but...
After reading all the posts on this sight and others I am left confused. Everyone seems to have an opinion and they all seem to conflict. Unfortunately, it sort of sounds like lots of people are re-hashing what they've heard and not necessarily reporting their own experiences.

So, at the risk of being repetative, what are people's opinions of the sks 20rnd "red star" magazines. I would be putting it on an chinese paratrooper norinco sks. If they were $20 I would buy it and just try it, but they are going for almost 60--nearly $70 after shipping.

    I'm pretty sure the Red Stars are Chinese produced, are they not? I have tried several including a Red Star. The USA Magazines I had is crap. Tried it on a Russian, a Norinco and a Yugoslav and it failed all 3. The Red Star worked on my Yugoslav but I live in Illinois so got a little weirded out by the local prospects of having it assembled and sold it for $40. Wish I had kept it now! These are good mags from what I can ascertain from my own and others experiences with them. I would therefor say "go for it". That seems like a lot of money though and they might come down in price if the mag ban is lifted in /september so keep that in mind as well!

    I had one on my Norinco for a while. It never worked anywhere near as smoothly as the stock 10rnd. I pulled it back off and let it sit in the closet until I found out what people were paying for them. I hope it works better for it's new owner then it did for me.
