F/A Thompson BB Guns
You know the ones at the fair? You shoot out the red star and win a prize. I went to the local fair today to find out how to get one. The carney said just go to their website, so I got the name off of the gun,Shooting Star Inc. I did a search and came up with nothing. Anyone know who makes these and where to find one?

I am looking right now have gotten a few hits but havent found the autos.
One of my searches came up with "bsa shooting star"
and bsa makes some airguns, however none were autos on that site.

)I have 2 of them... The exact ones that you find at the fairs. I also have about 50 brass loading tubes, 25 lbs of number 2 lead shot, spare parts, 5000 or so red stars... and a few other things for them. Mine were made by Vintage Pneumatics Corp in New Jersey. The company is no longer in business. They are really nice guns and work flawlessly. I have a compressor that I use just for these guns. You need to keep about 125 psi for them to work properly. I'm thinking about converting one to CO2. I am NOT interested in selling them, as they are extremely hard to find and worth a pretty penny. About once or twice a year they pop up on gunbroker and other (lesser [:)] gun auction sites. - Toe 0 -
What I find puzzleing, is if the company is out of business, how will the carney games stay in business? Did someone else buy up Vintage Pnuematic Corp.? 0 -
They have A LOT of spare parts. The guns are very well made too. Nobody else has bought the company so far as I know. When I was looking for mine, I had to go through the same stuff you are going through... LOTS of frustration. There really isn't much info out there on these guns. I know that the military used to use them for training WAY back in the day. I can't find the link to the article... all the information and links etc I had saved on my computer were lost when it crashed. You will find carny suppliers that will sell you the BOOTH complete with a minimum of a few guns (for a few thousand bucks), but not any (and I called several) that will sell you just the guns. I'll keep my eye out for some which are for sale for you.... Actually... here ya go!!! FOUND SOMETHING!!
