Next .22 Semi-Auto pistol??

I have been thinking about which to get next, I have comprised a somewhat short list. Note:I have only shot/held the Ruger.
Ruger MKII or 22/45
Browning Buckmark
Sig Trailside
S&W 22A
Beretta M87
Anyone own/shot one? pro/cons? I have two .22 plinkers(Ruger MKI and Beretta U22 Neos) so I am really looking for a competition/target type pistol. The Beretta is alittle to pricey for me but I am just curious if anyone has shot one. I am leaning towards the S&W and Browning.

    I don't have extensive experience with the pistols you mentioned, but have shot and owned a large number of High Standards. Have you given them a thought? A Supermatic is a really neat target pistol and they are the stuff that legends are made of!!

    Smith & Wesson makes the model 41 which is an excellent target .22.

    I've owned both the Buck Mark & the S & W 22A, no comparison.

    Get either a Buck Mark "Target" or "Bullseye" model for serious target work.

    The 22A is a POS.

    Hello If you look on the LINE at CAMP PERRY you will see many types of target 22 auto's some of the most popular are S&W model 41 ,HIGH STANDARD new and old ones MARVEL on 45 frame and KART on 45 frame These all have grip angle of 45 and most shooters like this because they shoot the 1911 in 2 stages of a 2700 match and a 22 in the other stage. If you have plenty of CASH try a Hammerli 208 some days it will make you king of the range and other days make you want to cry. Go to the small arms fireing school in JULY best 2 days you will ever spend.

    I have to agree with the Hi Standards. They are great shooters. If I had to choose on off of your list, it would be the Sig, Which is made by Hammerili I think.

    I have a Ruger MKII & a Buckmark , and love them both [:)][:)]
    Brother-in-law spent over $500.oo 0n a Beretta 89 Gold , and in my mind it does'nt shoot any better then the Ruger or Browning that cost $200.oo less [;)]
    For your dollar you WILL NOT find a better shootin 22 semi then the Ruger or the Browning [;)] IMHO !!!

    get an old high standard, M41 s&w, or a colt NM 2nd issue. bar none. if you plan on competing, youre gonna find out real quick that it costs money to win. just remember that... the day you are in first place after driving 100's of miles to compete and everythings going your way; and, on the last rapid fire string your gun poops out on you and you lose by 5 points because an aliby is allowed but you have to take the low 5. youll blame the gun when you should have blamed yourself for not paying the extra money to get a fine/excellent/dependable shooter. be american. buy quality and avoid the bargain crowd. champions seperate themselves from the rest by doing all the right things. start by buying a fine gun. all the guns you have listed are second rate for match shooting.

    I have a Buckmark camper and it is very accurate and the Neos was fun to shoot but to damn heavy. The Walther P22 has a lot of options and accessories to add on. Go somewhere and rent one at a time you'll find one you like. Now if your just talking about a great shooter and a cool little one the Walther TPH (I will find one reasonably priced)one day. Hope this helps.

    I too have a Buckmark Camper and it is very accurate, reliable, fun, and very reasonably priced pistol. You won't be dissapointed with a Browning.
