Need a Hi-Power expert....
I came across a Hi-Power that I was wondering what was worth and mabye a little history of manufacture.
Gun Description/Markings:
It is a Browning Hi-Power 9mm
Browning FN 9mm HP
No.2 Mk.I
Inglis Canada
Lanyard Ring
Round Hammer
Serial # 6T2404
This is all the information I have, if you can tell me anything about the pistol I'd appreciate it.

Here's a excellent link, that will give you the skinny on the Inglis Hi-Powers.

Thanks, Rufe. Do you have any idea what price range this pistol might fetch?

Have to have a accurate assessment of condition. Is it factory original?. What percentage of parkerizing remains? High quality pictures would be a plus.
Many of these came back from China before Slick Willies Ban. They've been fixed up to look like a million bucks, but their not factory original.

This one is in fair condition, I'd say around 60-70%. It has the obvious war time wear and tear but does not look as though it has been refinished. It has it's dings in the grip panels but overall I'd say fair condition. Dosen't appear to have been modified with any aftermarket parts but I don't know if the magazines are origional to the gun (although I doubt they are).

I'ld call it $250 to $350 in that condition, unless it has a slot for a shoulder stock in the butt. Then it would be worth quite a bit more.
Got to be carefull of fakes with that slot though. I knew a old guy back home, who turned cutting those slots into a very profitable, cottage industry.

That price sounds fair, nothing niggardly about it. Dare accepted. 0
