Just saw a guy ask the same question at my favored gun store in Wisconsin this weekend (Dam Road Gun Shop, Delavan Wisconsin)and the owner Mike agreed with what you have heard and took the time to pull one off the used rack and compare it to the newer gun side by side...looks to me like they are correct in that the base spacing is different! Too bad they frlt compelled to do thisbut I'm sure there is some technical reason for it that hacks like myself just 'wouldn't understand'! Nice rifles, the new Savages! I feel they are some of the best values on the market today, right out of the box!!!

The accu trigger versions also have a different contour on the rear now. The old ones were flat. The new ones are round. So to answer your question, NO the accutrigger savages will not use the same mounts as the older savages.

Everyone has a photographic memory. Only some have film.
