"IF" the pistol's frame/receiver has the standard 1911A1 dimensions, it's only a matter of switching ejectors.

CAREFULLY drive out the transverse pin that secures the ejector to the frame. Clamp the ejector, upside down in a PADDED vise. VERY GENTLY with a Plastic drift tap on the upper surfaces of the frame/receiver to free the ejector.

Order a aftermarket hardened steel .45 ejector from Brownells. As they come generally oversize, they have to be fitted on a trial and error basis.

Why would you want to? That NM 38 midrange is worth alot of money as is. Up to 2k depending on who you ask. Let it sit and ferment up in value.

Send me your 38 and I will send you a brand new 45 colt. leave it as is and either sell it or get another pistol. 38 mid range don't shoot worth a hoot at 50 yards but give a collector a thrill.and sell it to him
