They are the best money can buy--and hopefully will again be available at "more reasonable" prices if the ban is allowed to expire this September.0 -
I have put 2000+ rounds through mine over the last five years and as long as I stay 2 rounds short of a full mag have never, repeat neverhad a failure of any kind! I also have a hotlips that bought at the same time and assumed would wear out and I would then switch to the steel lips. That one has had 4000+ rounds through it and while it is looking a little rough is just as reliable as the day I bought it! I have been through 3 buffers and a recoil spring kit on that 10/22 and feel I will likely have to replace more parts on the gun before either mag wears out!! I am also lucky enough to have one of those rare 10/22's that will stack round after round on top of each other at '75 and just do it all day! I quit using the 10 rounder years ago as it is just not as much fun as the B.C.'s. It also has a 7 year old Simmons Sportview 3-9x scope that I paid 50 bucks for that must be one of the best Simmons ever made as it is just really reliable too! Every once and a while you just get lucky!
