Scope for 541-S
I have a Remington 541-S that I bought new in '76. It has worn several scopes in its time, currently a Bushnell Banner 4-12AO. It's time this gun gets the scope it deserves. I'm looking at Burris And Leupold right now.An adjustable objective with lots of increments between 10 and 100yd is important. Are there any others that are as good or better?
Shot your 541 yet, BigT? 5 rounds, 100yards, 3/4 inch is the mark to beat.[^][:D][:D]
If I melt dry ice, can I swim without getting wet?

Not yet. Too darn hot today! About 90-something.[xx(]
I'm looking real hard at that Leupold compact 3-9x36AO. Shore is purty. $269.00 at SWFA.[^]

have had both compact models and in my opion the burris mini beats the leupold hands down for eyerelief and optical quality..not that the leupolds were bad, just that the burris's were noticeably better..on the other hand, the leupold's are lighter..there are a couple of the gloss ones in the 4x12 and some other ranges on flea bay as i type...if you you dont mind a fixed power scope that would fit nicely and you can get by with just 6x, the older T weavers are very nice as are the 6x42mm leupold's...i have had a couple of 541s's over the years and they are as fine a rimfire as i ever shot including a few anschutz and kleinguenthers..congrats on a fine rifle and i know you will find the perfect scope 0
